2022 marks the 34th year for one of the world's most iconic silver coins...the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf. This stunning coin, designed by former Royal Canadian Mint master engraver, Walter Ott, has proven to be one of the most popular silver issues in the world. In fact, the design has proven so popular that it's been unchanged for 34 years!
The only difference between the 2022 Maple Leaf and the first one issued in 1988 are some enhanced anti-counterfeiting elements added. Those state-of-the-art security features include the radial lines you see as well as the micro engraved "22" found on the small maple leaf toward the bottom.
