Currency and Coin was founded in 1993 with two basic goals in mind. First we wanted to offer exceptional customer service. We knew that there were several coin companies out there but almost without exception they were hard to deal with. Let’s just say that customer service was not their big priority. Also, if you were not one of the big customers looking to spend big money chances are you were offered little to none real service. Sure if you lived in a bigger city you could find a local dealer that could offer you personal service but chances are he or she wouldn’t have the resources to keep much of an inventory or the connections to find a rare coin you may be looking for. We wanted to fill that void. We wanted to offer the personal attention of a local coin dealer with the added resources to locate those hard to find coins that only the bigger national dealers had the resources to find. That’s what we’ve been able to accomplish. Our customers are not just names in a database. Our account representatives work hard at developing personal relationships with all of our customers and will give you as much or as little attention as you desire.
We’ve spent years cultivating strong relationships with the largest rare coin dealers and wholesalers across the nation and have become a respected resource within the industry. These relationships have afforded us the ability to find even the rarest of coins. And, while we can and do find rare coins of all types (silver, gold, platinum, antique and modern issues, etc) we’ve carved out a special niche by specializing in back dated Gold and Silver American Eagles…raw and certified MS69 and MS70 condition coins.
The certified coins we offer have been graded and authenticated by either NGC or PCGS. If you’ve ordered a raw coin we go to great lengths to make sure the coin is in the represented condition. As many as three different International Currency representatives will inspect the coin(s) to make sure the condition, date and mintmark are accurate. A further quality inspection is done when preparing the coin(s) for shipment and a stamp is placed on the invoice identifying the final inspector of your order.
